Description

Das Museum für Alltagsgeschichte invites you to explore **the everyday history and social changes of the rural population from the 17th to the 20th century** 🕰️. Spread across six rooms, you can admire around **1000 exhibited objects**.

Here you will gain deep insights into various aspects of former village life: from parishes and manors – through markets and old crafts – to living conditions, cooking, and eating habits. Special highlights are the areas dedicated to **traditional home weaving** and a **historic shoemaker's workshop**.

Additionally, a special exhibition takes you on the trail of the Walter family. They owned the museum building from 1752 to 1955, and their story as shoemakers and farmers is vividly told here.
