Description
Vildštejn Castle in Skalná is home to a museum dedicated to humanity's battle against fire 🔥. The castle is one of the oldest in the country, and it is here that visitors can learn how the way people handle fire has evolved over the centuries.
- About 200 exhibits and documents on the subject of fire
- The first pieces were donated by firefighters from Skalná and the Bavarian town of Neusorg
- The largest museum of its kind in the west of the country
The project was planned as a cross-border effort and was supported by several towns and municipalities in the area 🚒. The museum is also officially recognized by the Czech Museums Association.
