Description
Muzeum loutek – Pohádkový dům is a fairy-tale house full of dolls 🧸. More than 400 dolls and puppets are on display here, mostly arranged in themed groups. The collection is a family collection with historical and modern pieces, made by local, Czech and foreign woodcarvers and puppeteers.
There is plenty to discover on different levels:
- On the first floor: castle lords, beetles, the Rusalka, and Spejbl and Hurvínek
- In the attic: fairy-tale corners with water sprites, devils, dragons and robbers from the surrounding forests, along with other mysterious creatures
- One part of the attic shows the recent past with dolls and props
- A puppet theater where children can perform one of the many puppet fairy tales together with other visitors
The museum also plans to extend the exhibition into the house's inner courtyard 🎭.
