Naturbadeplatz in der Freizeitanlage Altstädten

Enjoy the sun, swim, relax, meet friends – the Freizeitanlage Altstädten with Naturbadeplatz, lawns for sunbathing, lounge chairs, play areas, and a kiosk is the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy yourself.

At the heart of this spacious facility is the Naturbadeplatz with two swimming pools: one for swimmers (120 to 160 cm deep) and one for non-swimmers (60 to 80 cm deep). The water in the pools is heated using a solar system, and the water is treated biologically – without chlorine.

Important note: There is no lifeguard service at the Naturbadeplatz! Please observe the safety instructions posted on site.

For the little ones, there is also a children's wading pool integrated into the large sunbathing lawn. A beach volleyball court, table football, and table tennis, as well as outdoor chess and nine men's morris game areas, round out the leisure offerings. With the playground opposite, a stream, and plenty of room to play, families with children will feel right at home here. The dining area with kiosk and terrace (open only during the swimming season) is a meeting point for both young and old.

The sunbathing and open areas of the Freizeitanlage are open daily all year round. The Naturbadeplatz has separate opening hours (see posted schedule).

The Naturbadeplatz is open from May 23 to September 13 in 2026.

On rainy days, during weather warnings, and when temperatures fall below 18 °C, the Naturbadeplatz remains closed.

Early morning swimming is expected to be possible again this swimming season: daily from 7:00 am.
