Description

WildparkHausJust outside Neuhaus stands the WildparkHaus – the Solling visitor center – made from local wood. Featuring a Solling oak as a central architectural element, it is a unique building. Besides informational and educational offerings, the house shares plenty of fascinating facts about the forest and natural landscape. Under one roof you’ll find various partners. The WildparkHaus also houses the entrance gate to the wildlife park as well as the offices of the Naturpark Solling-Vogler and the Tourism Information Neuhaus/Silberborn, where you can get tips on hiking routes and worthwhile day trips.

Sweet or savory – a small kiosk at the wildlife park offers everything for a well-deserved break, from hot dogs and waffles to ice cream, sweets, and coffee. Relax on our sunny terrace at the WildparkHaus and let nature have its effect on you.

Tip for self-caterers: Feel free to bring your own picnic! Our terrace and cozy seating groups along the circular trail are available for you.

Wildpark Neuhaus

The forest experience facility of the Niedersächsische Landesforsten invites you to explore native wildlife and the typical Solling landscape. Since 1962, the Lower Saxony forestry office in Neuhaus has showcased about 20 different native animal species over around 50 hectares, including red deer, lynx, and wolf. Along the circular trail through the characteristic Solling forest, you can admire ancient oaks, wide mountain meadows, and a dry stone wall made of old sandstone.

Wildlife and forest up close, all year round…

Encounter our animals in enclosures that closely mimic their natural habitats. Each season has its own charm, so multiple visits throughout the year are worthwhile.

Falconry Wildpark Neuhaus

In the falconry, from April to October, Tuesday to Sunday at 11:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. (also Mondays on holidays), you can experience guided flight demonstrations showing the fascinating world of native birds of prey and owls. You’ll learn a lot about their lifestyles, roles in the ecosystem, and threats to these birds. (Included with wildlife park admission)
