Österreichische Nationalbibliothek, Papyrusmuseum

Description
For children aged 6 to 12, the Österreichische Nationalbibliothek, Papyrusmuseum on Heldenplatz in Vienna becomes an adventure into ancient Egypt. Here, young visitors learn how papyrus was made and which writings and stories people recorded on it back then.
For spooky fun, the Halloween tour covers monsters, dangers and uncertainties in the afterlife of the ancient Egyptians. Anyone who comes in costume receives a small gift, and in between, children craft their own little Halloween mummy. They also write their name with a reed pen and black ink on real papyrus, in hieroglyphs, Greek and Coptic.
