Description

The Oldenburger Wallmuseum is a medieval experience museum located on an important archaeological site in Schleswig-Holstein that was once the Slavic power center Starigard.

The museum displays archaeological finds and reconstructed early medieval settlements that bring the history of Oldenburg as a center of trade, politics, and religion from 1,000 years ago to life.

The annual Slav Days festival brings the old Starigard to life: A large medieval market with merchants, craftsmen, and warriors from all over Europe invites you to explore.

Visitors can experience thrilling battle reenactments, admire a weapons exhibition, watch historical fashion shows, and try their hand at medieval crafts themselves. There is also food, drink, and musical entertainment creating a festive atmosphere.

At the café-restaurant Zweizack right on the grounds of the Wallmuseum, culinary delights are served to enhance your visit.
