The Papier- und Druckereimuseum Laakirchen/Steyrermühl invites families to explore old factory halls with workshops and an exhibition. On site you can get hands-on: during Papier schöpfen you make your own sheet under guidance and pick it up after it dries. 🎨
The exhibition features contemporary paper art; a few minutes away is the historic demonstration power plant Gschröff – a short detour across the pedestrian suspension bridge complements the visit. Programs are aimed at children in the age groups 0–6 and 0–14 years.

Workshop “Probier Papier!” – create a ticket in napkin technique and design an envelope.
Torchlit night tours through the factory halls – dramatic evening atmosphere; on request demonstration of the reconstructed historic paper machine.
