RAuszeit: Natur- und Erlebnispädagogik

In Kierspe, special education teacher Nina Rudolph established a nature and experiential education program in March 2023. The program allows participants to actively engage with nature while getting to know various animal species. It includes encounters with tame chickens, sheep, chipmunks, quail, canaries, and Bernese Mountain Dogs. Along the way, participants learn interesting facts and have the chance to explore part of the Kerspetal water and nature reserve. Additionally, there are rotating hands-on creative activities, such as themed forest walks, making stick bread over a campfire, and crafts using natural materials. RAuszeit's educational approach aims to gradually give participants more responsibility through practical insights into animal care and increased involvement in nature education offerings. This method fosters a deeper understanding of the animals’ needs as well as ecological connections.
