Description

Salzwelten Altaussee invites you to an exciting treasure hunt through the show mine. Here you can walk through medieval salt tunnels and experience history up close – including the dramatic rescue of valuable artworks from destruction during National Socialism.

There is a special attraction for kids: a ride on the miner’s slide together with Sally the mine duck is great fun and adds some action to the adventure inside the tunnel.

The so-called "Mountain of Treasures" lets visitors touch the cool smooth walls made of pure rock salt with their orange-red glow. This way, you can feel the history and the thrilling life of the miners very directly.

A special experience for the whole family! 🧡
