Description

Schutzhaus Römisches Bad in Wurmlingen invites you to explore the history of the Romans and Alamanni. Here you can discover impressive evidence of the transition from antiquity to the early Middle Ages. Already in the past, there were special vacation programs for children here!

A special highlight is the Roman bath itself. Learn how the ancient bathing process worked: from the changing room (Apodyterium) through a lukewarm room (Tepidarium) to the warm bath (Caldarium) with a heated water basin and humid climate. Afterward, it was on to the cold-water basin (Frigidarium). All of this was heated back then by a sophisticated underfloor heating system (Hypokaustum).

Thanks to a protective superstructure, visiting the Roman bathing facility is possible in any weather ☔. This way, you can dive into the world of the Romans at any time.
