The Schwäbische Alb-Bahn offers special Sunday excursions in the summer with extra space for bicycles – perfect for families who want to enjoy nature and activity together 🚂🚲.
On selected days, a historic steam train runs, organized by dedicated volunteers from the association. This promises a nostalgic experience and lots of fun for both young and old.
Bicycle transport is free on all regular Schwäbische Alb-Bahn trains. This makes it easy to explore the varied route between Ulm, Blaubeuren, Schelklingen, and Münsingen by bike.
The route passes through family-friendly natural areas, including orchards and juniper heaths in the Swabian Alb biosphere reserve – a wonderful setting for a relaxing day outdoors with the whole family.
