Description
The 16-hectare Südpark in Lünen-Süd showcases a diverse range of plants, including rhododendrons, cherry laurels, and walnut trees. The park features walking paths and offers chances to spot various bird species as well as informational boards about forest inhabitants. A central pond is home to carp and goldfish. The dedicated group "Freundeskreis Südpark," awarded the 2024 Heimat-Preis NRW, plays a key role in maintaining and preserving the park.
