Description

This nostalgic amusement park in Ibbenbüren is a well-known destination, especially popular with families with young children. The Sommerrodelbahn, a 120-meter-long track, offers the chance to race down the landscape on wooden sleds. In addition to the toboggan run, there are many other attractions, including a fairy-tale forest, a vintage train express, and a trip around the world. The terraces of the mountain garden under old beech trees invite you to relax and enjoy a picnic you bring along. Snacks and drinks are also available on site.

The Sommerrodelbahn, initiated in 1926 by a miner from Ibbenbüren, is considered the oldest of its kind in Germany. Originally equipped with three tracks, today only one is in operation for safety reasons. The facility, located in the "northern" hills of the Teutoburg Forest, has been a popular destination for hikers from the start. Since 1958, the fairy-tale forest has increasingly attracted young visitors. The family-run park specifically targets children aged two to eight and offers a flexible pricing system where you only pay for the attractions you use.
