Sommerrodelbahn Willingen

Sommerrodelbahn Willingen offers a riding experience of up to 40 km/h. A drag lift carries riders 250 meters uphill, followed by a 700-meter-long descent with views of the Willingen mountains. The track features eleven curves, three jumps, and various straights, allowing for varied rides even in wet conditions. You can ride solo or with a partner. Children aged eight and older can steer the sled independently. An automatic camera system captures a souvenir photo at the finish line.

Additionally, there is a 1100-meter mountain cart track available. After the uphill ride on the Ritzhagen 6-person chairlift, riders descend on three-wheeled fun sports vehicles down the ski slope. Mountain carts can be driven by children aged ten or older, or those at least 1.35 meters tall; younger children may be accompanied by an adult.

A playground with a trampoline setup, slide house, nest swing, climbing and balancing games, as well as mini excavators, expands the offerings. Other activities include a 60-meter wooden ball run and a summer tubing track suitable for children from three years old. For culinary breaks, the modern alpine ski and toboggan hut “Einkehrschwung” is located nearby.

In winter, the area serves skiers and sledders with the 6-person chairlift, the Ritzhagen conveyor belt, and the Sonnenlift. The Sommerrodelbahn can operate alongside skiing when weather permits or as an alternative in the absence of snow.
