Spiel- und Rastplatz „Am Feldschlösschen“

The former garden area „Am Feldschlösschen“ was transformed into a public green space as part of Chemnitz's European Capital of Culture 2025. On the previously partly unused site, an attractive bike rest area was created that combines exercise, relaxation, and socializing. A covered shelter with built-in fitness equipment offers protection and opportunities for physical activities. A wheelchair-accessible seating area allows for barrier-free use. Seven bike racks provide secure parking for cyclists. The facilities are complemented by a play and climbing tower as well as additional seating. The new space invites people of all ages to rest, play, and linger, enhancing the surroundings in a lasting way.
