An arched path leads from the entrance on Jochmannstraße to the entrance gate of the "Bibliothekgarten." The latter is accessible during the library’s opening hours. The enhanced lawn and planting areas expand the ways you can enjoy the space. By adding bamboo and solitary shrubs, exciting nooks, spatial effects, and hiding spots are created. The plant selection was chosen thematically based on trees, grasses, and perennials native to East Asia.

The installed playground equipment represents a world full of energy and magical spaces. The curved shapes of the play structures offer a retreat from the ordinary. Using new materials, lively colors, opportunities for individual design, and a selection of traditional play activities, the playground at Jochmannstraße inspires imagination and movement in fresh ways.

The highlight of the playground is the large play combination "Summit," featuring a well-thought-out system of climbing steps and holds on posts and walls, as well as ladders, allowing it to be fully climbed from both inside and out. With its handrails and a huge stainless steel slide, "Summit" offers plenty of space for hours of activities and training exercises. There are cozy retreats to relax or take a break.

A play area isn’t complete without a swing. Swinging back and forth is a fundamental movement and fun for more than just little kids. The dinosaur swing with a tire seat helps children build their skills and offers new challenges.
