Description
The Sportzone Rungg in Eppan lies on the edge of the Montiggler Wald, south of the village of Girlan. The sports zone includes soccer fields, tennis courts, a beach volleyball facility, and a clubhouse with a restaurant. In 2010, the German national soccer team chose this idyllic, secluded spot for an extended training camp ahead of the World Cup in South Africa. Sportzone Rungg is also an excellent starting point for hikes into the Montiggler Wald and to the Montiggler Seen.
