Description

The Stadtmuseum Sinsheim in the historic town hall building from 1712 invites you to explore the history, culture, and lifestyle of Sinsheim and the Kraichgau region across several floors. You’ll embark on an exciting journey through time, from early Southern German archaeology, Celtic and Roman settlements, the medieval imperial city period, to the conflicts of the 17th century and the Baden Revolution of 1848/49.

Especially for families, the historic Lichdi shop is a highlight: an authentically furnished colonial goods store from 1905 that you can explore with all your senses. In the attic, you’ll find old workshops, such as a cobbler’s workshop and parts of a cigar factory, inviting hands-on learning.

  • Changing exhibitions on special eras, notable personalities, and fascinating artifacts from the Kraichgau region.

  • The historic building itself, with its traditional half-timbered architecture, invites playful exploration.

  • For children aged 6 and over, there is a rally through the house that lets them experience Sinsheim’s history in an exciting way, either independently or with an adult.
