Description

Staufen - Keramikmuseum combines historic pottery traditions with contemporary ceramic art across three exciting areas: the historic potter's house, the changing special exhibition room, and the modern ceramic gallery STUDIO KM.

In the potter's house, you can explore original workshops featuring a potter’s wheel, a clay pit, and two wood-fired kilns – upstairs there are exhibits that offer children and families fascinating insights into traditional ceramic art.

STUDIO KM presents exhibitions by contemporary artists throughout the year, blending tradition with modern ceramics to create a special experience for all ages.

During guided tours of the exhibition Jugendstil international, visitors discover the diverse styles of Art Nouveau from various countries – a cultural highlight that will amaze you.

During the winter break, the Museumsabend Lichternacht invites you to a cozy evening with mulled wine, gingerbread, and a special presentation at STUDIO KM – a wonderful offering for families wanting to enjoy culture in a warm atmosphere.

The museum showcases Staufen’s long pottery tradition since the Middle Ages, featuring everyday vessels and later decorative ceramics with regional motifs – perfect for exploring local culture up close with your children.
