Description

Strandbad Müggelsee offers you a swimming beach about 830 meters long on the northeast shore of the Great Müggelsee, nestled in a natural forest landscape 🌲.

Families can enjoy a variety of recreational activities here: a dedicated nude beach for even more variety, wooden piers for easy access to the water, sports facilities, and snack stands right on site.

According to regular microbiological testing over the past four years, the water has excellent quality, making swimming especially safe. The sandy beach and natural surroundings invite you to relax, while walking paths let you explore the area.

Parents should know that waterfowl often visit here, which can cause minor disturbances from their droppings. Feeding the birds is not allowed, and there is a dog ban on the beach – dogs must be kept on a leash on the adjacent promenade.

In summer, water cloudiness naturally varies due to algae and plants, with visibility between 50 cm and 2 meters. Occasionally, algae such as cyanobacteria appear, but swimming is officially considered safe. Additionally, the risk of swimmer’s dermatitis caused by certain larvae, which can appear sporadically in midsummer, is monitored.
