Description

The Suermondt-Ludwig-Museum is Aachen’s own “salon,” housed in the magnificent 19th-century Villa Cassalette.

The collection includes one of Germany’s most important medieval sculpture collections, as well as an outstanding selection of late Gothic German and Dutch panel paintings and works by Dutch Baroque masters.

The museum also offers a small but exquisite selection of paintings from the 19th and early 20th centuries.

The “City Cabinet for Art and Curiosities” showcases prints, drawings, and a comprehensive collection of applied arts.

For children, there are special programs ranging from birthday parties to educational offerings for preschools and schools.

After your visit, the Café Wunderkammer invites you to relax and enjoy. ☕
