Description

Thuringia's largest open-air museum invites you on an exciting journey through over 500 years of history. At two locations, you'll find more than 40 historically furnished original buildings – from large farmhouses to a flowerpot pottery and Thuringia's oldest post mill, which especially fascinates children.

The museum site Am Eichenberg captivates with a protected village that brings the historic village atmosphere to life. Here, history becomes an engaging experience.

On special event days, and regularly on Sundays as well as during school holidays, you can participate in various activities and discover the past up close. Especially family-friendly are the interactive children's tours, making the museum a true adventure for the whole family.

Additionally, special exhibitions such as the “Village Life” exhibition from May to January offer unique thematic discoveries. A visit is worthwhile for everyone who wants to experience history vividly and with all their senses! 🎉
