Description
The UNESCO Biosphärenpark Kärntner Nockberge is part of Austria’s largest UNESCO biosphere area and was recognized in 2012 as a model region for sustainable development. 🌲
Particularly family-friendly are the ranger-led tours – short, age-appropriate discovery trails with knowledgeable guides who invite children to join in. 🔍
On numerous themed trails and in mountain and alpine huts, exhibition displays and hands-on stations await, introducing children to natural phenomena and local life.
- Ranger-led tours: playful nature discovery
- Themed trails: Weg der Elemente, Silva Magica, Windebensee
- Exhibitions in huts and alpine farms (e.g., Glockenhütte, Nockalmhof)
- Mobile Biosphärenpark-Schule and project weeks for school groups
- Blog with child-friendly stories and preparation tips for parents
