Description

The excursion to the vogel.schau.plätze is ideal for families who want to watch birds in wetlands. Here you can spot geese, ducks, waders and other species. 🐦

AURING Wimmelbuch – a largely wordless picture book that gives children a playful, language-independent introduction to the local nature and sparks curiosity about the region.

On site there is an active bird-ringing program – around 3,250 birds were ringed, measured and released in 2025, allowing many close encounters. Guided bird-migration watches with experienced leaders make the outing especially educational.

The area also hosts a notable population of the rare Bluethroat (20 territories this year). Former fish ponds are being restored into valuable wetlands – visible conservation work that families can discover on site.
