Wildgehege

Description
The Wildgehege in Hirschpark are located right behind Wissem Castle in the castle grounds. In the natural enclosures, you can observe red deer and sika deer. The reddish-brown summer coat of the sika deer, decorated with white spots, is especially striking. The red deer impress with their large, branched antlers. A fully grown red deer can reach up to 2.1 meters in height, while sika deer stand 0.75 to 1.10 meters at the shoulder. From the walking path, Wilhelm-Stricker-Weg, and from the observation platform, you can closely watch the animals. Important: feeding the animals is prohibited.
