Description

Wildpark Dülmen offers an impressive 250-hectare park landscape that is open to the public and perfect for walks and bike rides. Visitors can explore the typical Münsterland scenery on one large and four smaller circular trails. The natural paths lead through diverse settings of forests, meadows, and ponds, where native animals like fallow deer, Heidschnucken sheep, and other sheep can be observed.

The park’s history dates back to 1864, when the Dukes of Croy commissioned a renowned English architect to design a landscape park connecting Dülmener Castle with the Hof Hinderkinck farm. Designed in the English style, the park is characterized by harmoniously arranged groups of trees and striking individual trees. In the 1920s, the park also became attractive for red deer and fallow deer. The Croy ducal family, who still own the land, allows visitors to experience this historic estate.
