Altötting Kirta Festival

The Altötting Kirta Festival is one of the most beautiful events in autumn and a wonderful celebration for young and old alike! It is one of the major events organized by the Altötting Business Association and will take place from September 26 to October 4, 2026. The festival grounds are set up around the Kirta Fountain. Small decorated festival tents, vendors, and showmen complete this cozy, rural autumn festival. A large amusement park for both adults and children will be ready for visitors again, and various snack stands offer something to suit every taste.

The festive opening takes place on Saturday, September 26, 2026, with the popular Kirta parade. Starting at 2 p.m., the procession moves from the city center: festively decorated carriages, servers, festival hosts, and numerous clubs, accompanied by lively brass band music, parade through the streets to the festival grounds.

From Saturday, September 26 to Sunday, September 27, the Kirta will host a traditional crafts and artisan market.
