Children's Concert with Jerome Morris

Children's songs with Jerome Morris for ages 4 and up

Originally from Ireland, musician Jerome Morris has been working with and for children for more than six decades. With undiminished joy, he delights his young audience with a varied program of well-known – and lesser-known – German-language children's songs that parents and grandparents have sung, as well as songs by contemporary children's songwriters. In addition, traditional English nursery rhymes and selected songs in Gaelic are part of his repertoire.

His singing and stories are accompanied by a variety of traditional instruments, including tin whistle, accordion, guitar, harmonica, cajón, bodhrán, spoons, and bones. In this way, Jerome Morris conveys to children a lively and authentic joy of music while giving insights into the rich musical tradition of his Irish homeland.
