Christmas Market in Bad Mergentheim

The romantic spa and holiday town of Bad Mergentheim dresses up again for the pre-Christmas season.

“Worlds of Light” is the atmospheric theme of a colorful cultural and experience program in Bad Mergentheim, whose heart is the traditional Christmas market in the historic old town. When the alleys are bathed in warm light and lovingly decorated stalls invite you to linger, an atmosphere is created that captivates visitors of all ages. Surrounded by sparkling lights, decorated facades, and the scent of winter delicacies, strolling through the market becomes a special experience during Advent.

Around the large Christmas tree, a colorful range of handcrafted products is offered: alongside turned wood items, ceramics, wooden toys, carvings, pottery, and handicrafts, mulled wine is never missing, along with cookies and festive Christmas decorations.

The city center smells enticingly of punch, roasted almonds, waffles, and bratwurst. At the lovingly decorated stalls, sweet and savory specialties are offered, inviting you to enjoy and stay awhile.

Whether meeting friends for a social gathering, a family outing, or a romantic evening stroll, the Christmas market provides space for encounters and shared experiences.

The Bad Mergentheim Christmas market not only takes place from December 3 through December 6, 2026, but continues for a second round from December 10 through December 13, 2026. It is open daily from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with gastronomy stands open until 10:00 p.m.
