Christmas Market in Greetsiel

On the 2nd and 3rd Advent weekends (December 5 + 6 / December 12 + 13, 2026), the traditional “Lüttje Greetmer Christmas Market” takes place at the marketplace in Greetsiel.

The market is now being held for the 31st time and is organized by local clubs and organizations in cooperation with the Greetsiel Promotion Association.

At the festively decorated wooden stalls on the marketplace at the Alten Siel, visitors can enjoy from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM a variety of handcrafted decorative items and gift ideas alongside mulled wine, punch, Berlin-style donuts, bratwurst, and fish.

Over the years, the Lüttje Greetmer Christmas Market has become a meeting place for locals and guests alike. The focus is not on individual commercial success but on fostering community spirit in the tourist town of Greetsiel and the long-standing, successful collaboration of all local clubs and organizations.
