Culture in Cinema - Comedy Fairy Tale Live Show with Piero Masztalerz: Shut Up, Rapunzel
Description
Piero Masztalerz brings his interactive comedy fairy tale show on tour to Losheim
With his current stage program "Shut Up, Rapunzel!" the nationally known cartoonist Piero Masztalerz is on tour and will perform his latest program as part of the "Culture in Cinema" series at Lichtspiele Losheim, exceptionally on Sunday, November 15, 2026, at 7 p.m.
PIERO has created a genre that did not exist before: a comedy show with animated characters that engage in sharp, verbal sparring with their creator – to the entertainer’s dismay, but all the funnier for the audience. It is dynamic, surprising, and uncompromisingly funny. The eccentric fairy tale characters from PIERO’s universe regularly take over the conversation – much to the entertainer’s distress.
PIERO combines cartoon art, animation, and stand-up into a
unique stage form that hasn’t been seen before – fast, clever, and incredibly entertaining.
Piero Masztalerz is one of Germany’s most distinguished cartoonists. In 2025, he won three prestigious awards: the St. Ingberter Pfanne, 1st place at the German Caricature Prize, and 3rd place at the German Cartoon Prize.
The show starts at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. that evening.
Admission is free, and as always, donations are welcome. Due to limited seating, early arrival is advised; reservations are not possible. More information is also available at www.lichtspiele-losheim.de.
