Eilenburger Christmas Market

The scent of cookies, mulled wine, and festive music fills the air around Eilenburg City Hall. The opening of the Christmas market is traditionally led by the Burgverein, accompanied by the brass choir from Sprotta. Afterwards, the mayor and Santa Claus cut the stollen together. Under the festively decorated lindens, numerous stalls offer handmade goods, Christmas decorations, and gift ideas to browse. Sweet and savory treats provide moments of enjoyment, while little guests can take rides on the children's train. Special encounters are also arranged: every day, Santa Claus, his angel, and his elf visit the market and take time in small sessions to hear children’s wishes.
