Family Day Heimbach in Nationalpark Eifel

Description
On small hikes of about four kilometers, nature-loving girls and boys along with their families can enjoy a roughly 3-hour free interactive program covering various topics.
The events are mainly aimed at children of elementary school age.
Small children should sit in a backpack carrier instead of a stroller.
The program is also gladly adapted to the needs of visually impaired and blind children as well as those with limited mobility or learning difficulties.
Depending on interest, age, weather, and season, the program develops on-site with the group.
Playfully, you will go on an exploration tour to find answers to exciting questions: How can I recognize wild forest? How can I orient myself in the wilderness? How old is the water in the National Park? Who lives under the trees? Are there dangerous animals in the National Park? How do animals actually hunt?
On hikes led by certified forest guides, children can use simple tools to uncover secrets along the path, learn about healing, poisonous, and tasty plants, read the tracks of wild animals in the National Park, spark curiosity about the beauties of nature, learn about the interplay of natural elements, or simply spend a relaxing time together with their family in the forest.
