Glowing Chemistry

Description
Holiday Workshop
It glows and sparks fly – It is always fascinating when very high temperatures are reached during chemical reactions. In this workshop, glowing pig iron is produced in a self-built furnace made of fireclay bricks.
Beautiful glass beads are created in muffle furnaces and microwaves from white powders; by adding various salts, these can also be colored. Temperatures are generated that are high enough to melt metals together to produce brass nuggets.
In this workshop, chemistry really shows what it can do. Sign up and join in!
