“A Star That Bears Your Name”
On All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day, we remember and pray for our beloved deceased. The graves are decorated and lovingly arranged. The cemetery is not only a resting place for the dead; it is also a meeting place for the living and grieving. When planting flowers or watering them, you might meet someone and have a chat. Sometimes acquaintances and relatives who haven’t seen each other for a long time come together. Life and death belong together. We may not think about this every day, but there are days of remembrance – including All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day. This year, the project team “Friedhofscafe” of the St. Elisabeth parish warmly invites you to come together.
The team is delighted to welcome you on Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the new cemetery in Sayn for a cup of coffee, tea, or a piece of cake.
You are also welcome to bring mementos again this year; be it a photo or another remembrance of your loved one. On site, you can also leave a personal dedication on the cards provided.
You probably know about the so-called “star children.” This year's theme is dedicated especially to these children.
Since in previous years many have asked for a donation box, this year we have decided to collect for a hospice. Once again, a heartfelt invitation – we look forward to seeing you!
