From November 27 to December 20, the 53rd Christmas Market of the year takes place at the main market square in Großenhain. Lovingly designed stalls invite guests of the Großenhainer market town to marvel, linger, and shop. For the little visitors, there is a carousel and a children's baking workshop. Enjoy the pre-Christmas atmosphere with its tempting scents and reflect on the most beautiful moments of the year.
The opening hours of the Großenhainer Christmas Market are Monday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Highlights this year include the daily visit of Santa Claus at 5 p.m. (starting November 30) on the Christmas market stage and the open-for-shopping Sundays on December 6 and 20, 2026.
