Description

Wildgehege Moritzburg offers the opportunity year-round to observe a wide variety of animals in large, naturalistic enclosures. The park is home to more than 30 mostly native species, including fallow deer, moose, red deer, lynx, golden pheasants, and otters. A special treat for animal lovers is the Bambi petting enclosure, where you can pet sika deer. Additionally, the wildlife park offers special guided tours focused on selected animal species.

Wildgehege Moritzburg has a long history. Its roots date back to the “Old Game Park” established by Elector Johann Georg IV in 1693/94. Parts of the original rubble stone walls from the old animal enclosure have been preserved to this day and serve as boundaries for the enclosures.
