Hamelner Christmas Market

Hameln is especially enchanting during the Christmas season! Beautifully decorated Weser Renaissance buildings and charming half-timbered houses with lovingly decorated shops create the unique backdrop for the Hamelner Christmas Market.

65 individually designed huts and the gigantic pyramid are all beautifully staged for Christmas. The lovingly decorated market and the stars of the Christmas lights bathe the city in a festive warm glow. Artisans, mulled wine stalls, a historic Ferris wheel, the reindeer railway, and a variety of delicious treats accompany visitors on a wonderful circuit around the impressive ensemble of the Wedding House and Market Church (see photos).

Every Wednesday and Saturday, Santa Claus visits the town of the Pied Piper. What happens when he meets the Piper? A dark secret has been accompanying the capital of seduction since 1284, even during Christmas time.
