Hildesheimer Christmas Market 2026

The traditional heart of the Christmas market, the historic town square, once again features a Christmas pyramid as a special highlight. Around the market fountain, small wooden stalls decorated in the half-timbered style of old Hildesheim buildings create a charming atmosphere alongside artisanal and culinary offerings. Vendors in these stalls offer many Christmas items and accessories. Several large fir trees provide additional wintery, festive cheer, as in previous years.

In front of the impressive backdrop of the town square with the famous Knochenhauer-Amtshaus, a roughly 10-meter-high Christmas tree lights up the scene with a very special festive glow. The square An der Lilie also invites you to cozy strolling and relaxed enjoyment, with numerous stalls framed by tall fir trees.

The Christmas market is open daily from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Some stalls open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
