Hubertus Market and All Saints Market Dillenburg

Description
Autumn market bustle, culinary variety, family activities, and shops open on Sunday:
The Oranien town of Dillenburg invites you from Saturday, October 31 to Sunday, November 1 to the traditional Hubertus Market in the city center. Visitors can expect a diverse selection of trade, enjoyment, and autumn entertainment for two days.
The range is diverse
About 80 local, regional, and national vendors present a wide selection along the market stalls for everyday life, home, and gift ideas. The range includes outerwear, knitwear, and handmade baby clothes, hats, caps, and leather goods, as well as kitchen utensils, ceramic pots, high-quality Swiss knives, and garden tools. Arts and crafts and decorative items are also well represented: offered are jewelry, fabrics and wool, glass painting, wire figures, cork accessories, wood items, and lovingly designed gift articles. Anyone looking for special products for their home or for the upcoming (pre-)Christmas season will surely find something at the Hubertus Market.
Gourmet food, specialties, and autumn delights
The culinary offerings on site invite you to taste and enjoy. Gourmet specialties, honey, tasty liqueurs, gin and whisky, fine cheese varieties, as well as tea and spice blends enrich the market selection. The choice is supplemented by natural care products made in-house.
Among the stalls, numerous food stands offer savory and sweet treats. From currywurst with homemade sauces, grilled sausages, and langos, to lahmacun and gözleme, to tornado potatoes and gourmet meat skewers, there is something for every taste. Those with a sweet tooth can look forward to roasted almonds, crêpes, waffles, churros, Kaiserschmarrn, poffertjes, cotton candy, and soft serve ice cream. The lively market atmosphere also offers a wonderful opportunity to kick off this year’s mulled wine season in the Oranien town.
Offers for children and families
There is plenty for the youngest market guests too. Two children’s carousels will bring great joy on both market days.
On Saturday, October 31, children can also get creative: matching the autumn theme, there will be a Halloween craft activity. For a fee of €2 per child, kids can let their imagination run wild and take home a wonderfully handmade item at the end.
On Sunday, November 1, graceful walking acts will also stroll through the city center. Towering on stilts, they are the messengers of autumn and are sure to bring a smile to the faces of both young and old guests.
Shops open on Sunday: Discover autumn and winter trends
On Sunday, the lively activities are accompanied by a Sunday with shops open. From 12 to 6 p.m., Dillenburg retailers open their doors and invite you for a relaxed shopping stroll. Besides the current autumn and winter offerings, the market day is an ideal opportunity to visit the local retail stores in the city center.
The autumn "Beautiful Things Market" also invites you to browse at the Evangelical Community Hall at Zwingel on Sunday, November 1, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visitors can expect a variety of regional exhibitors and many beautiful handcrafted items to admire and buy.
Information on traffic and parking
During the market days, there are traffic restrictions in the city center. Residents and business owners, especially in Hauptstraße, Marktstraße, Hüttenplatz, and Wilhelmsplatz, are asked for their understanding. From Saturday to Sunday, vehicles cannot drive to or leave the affected properties in the blocked market area between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Kirchberg is a dead end; exit via Wilhelmsplatz is not possible on either day.
Free parking is available for market visitors at the stadium and at Stadthalle. Additionally, on the Sunday with shops open, November 1, the Oranien parking garage may be used free of charge. Paid parking is available at Karlsplatz and Konrad-Adenauer-Allee.
