Katharinenmarkt

Description
With a tradition spanning over 500 years, the Hachenburger Katharinenmarkt is famous far beyond the borders of the Lion City. Every year, thousands of visitors gather in the historic town center to explore over 300 market stalls at the largest one-day market in Rhineland-Palatinate during a leisurely market stroll. Whether it’s warm socks made from cozy sheep's wool for the cold Westerwald winter, baskets overflowing with fruit, flowers, or sausages, spicy herbal candies, or creative gift ideas: no wish goes unfulfilled at the Katharinenmarkt. In addition to the sales booths, there are plenty of food stalls offering delights like mulled wine, bratwurst, waffles, potato pancakes, mushrooms, and much more. The unique atmosphere and the chance to meet many friends make the Katharinenmarkt a welcome must-visit event on otherwise dull November days, always held on the first Saturday in November.
