Kids in the Mudflats
Description
Ever wondered what sea lettuce or live mussels feel like?
This guided tour of the mudflats lets even the youngest family members explore this unique habitat.
On a shortened tour, we playfully discover lugworms, shore crabs, and more. Games and fun take center stage on this tour.
The team at the Nationalpark-Haus Wurster Nordseeküste recommends this event for children up to 6 years old. An adult companion is required.
Dogs on a leash are very welcome.
Registration: by email, phone, online, or in person.
Gear: Remember to wear warm, windproof clothing and bring rubber boots if needed.
Accessibility note: You can rent a mudflat scooter at the Nationalpark-Haus, allowing people with limited mobility to join the mudflat walk (please register by phone in advance). The Nationalpark-Haus Wurster Nordseeküste is certified by "Travel for All". It has step-free access and a disabled restroom.
