Living Cellar World - Traben-Trarbach Underground
Traben-Trarbach. On Jakob Day – the guild wine festival of the Stadtschröter in 2008, the first underground tour through the Traben-Trarbach wine cellars took place. Today, over 10,000 visitors attend the tour "Excursion into the Traben-Trarbach Underground" each year. Other events, such as the underground wine tasting during the Mosel Wine Festival and the Mosel Wine Night Market, also take place in the underground wine cellars.
The underground will be open and alive on October 3, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
A fascinating and must-see program awaits visitors in various cellars of the "Traben-Trarbach Underground." Each cellar presents itself in a unique way, focusing on the theme of the "Traben-Trarbach Underground." Visitors will learn all kinds of interesting facts about the cellar world, from the historic cellar work to the history of the tours, wine trade, and wine production.
In the districts of Traben and Trarbach, four cellars each will open their doors for this occasion.
