Ready for an island escape?

On May 31 and September 27, it’s time again: casting off for Mäuseturminsel!

Departure is at 11 a.m. on both May 31 and September 27 from Bingen’s cultural waterfront. From there, the ship takes you to Mäuseturminsel. A total of 6 crossings are offered on each date.

On board, you’ll be welcomed with a glass of sparkling wine or juice and a pretzel. On the island, friendly Bingen tour guides greet you and lead you around the island and up the tower.

Along the way, you’ll hear intriguing stories and interesting background information about the tower and its history. After climbing the tower, enjoy a magnificent view over the Middle Rhine Valley and Bingen. After about an hour, the ship brings you back to the cultural waterfront with unforgettable impressions.

The ticket costs €34 per person, including a glass of sparkling wine or grape juice, a pretzel, the boat trip, and the guided tour on Mäuseturminsel. Children up to and including 2 years old travel free.

Did you know?

Many fascinating legends surround the Mäuseturm – the most famous tells of the heartless Bishop Hatto of Mainz, who was supposedly eaten by mice. But the actual history is just as captivating: from a medieval customs station to a signal station for ship traffic, the tower has a rich past. The highlight is the climb up the tower, offering a fantastic view over Bingen and the UNESCO Upper Middle Rhine Valley World Heritage Site.
