Nostalgic Christmas Market Hattingen

Description
The Nostalgic Christmas Market in Hattingen traditionally opens its doors after Totensonntag and transforms the historic old town into a festive winter fairy tale. Around 80 lovingly decorated stalls stretch from Roonstraße over the church square to the St.-Georgs quarter and Steinhagen. Visitors can enjoy handcrafted arts and crafts, culinary specialties, and cultural performances. A special highlight is the daily appearance of Frau Holle, who from December 1 at 5 p.m. shakes her pillows out of the window of the Old Town Hall. In the Krämersdorf, the French market "Bleu Blanc Rouge" invites you to linger with crêpes, tarte flambée, and other delicacies. The church square around St.-Georgs Church forms the atmospheric center of the market, where choirs and musical groups create a festive atmosphere. Additionally, the artisan market in the St.-Georgs quarter presents high-quality works and design objects from around the world. The Nostalgic Christmas Market Hattingen thus offers a unique blend of tradition, art, and enjoyment amid a picturesque setting.
