Pre-Christmas Market usually takes place starting the third week of November, from Friday afternoon to Saturday evening.

Atmospheric decorations with a pre-Christmas flair surrounding a large Christmas tree and stalls showcasing handcrafted art, many unique gift ideas, and festive treats await visitors. A special market by women for women, originating from the idea to provide the women of Blieskastel and the surrounding area an opportunity to present their mostly self-made goods to a wide audience. Of course, admission to the event is free. Food and drinks are also provided. Small yet exquisite food and beverage offerings invite you to stroll and linger in Blieskastel’s old town.

A visit to the local restaurants and the many shops in the old town is also well worth your time. On Saturdays during the Pre-Christmas Market, the downtown shops are usually open until 4 p.m. A small walk through the old town is definitely worthwhile. Visitors are advised to use the parking facilities around the edge of the old town.
