Schneeberger Christmas Market

Description
When on the Saturday before the first Advent at exactly 6 PM in Schneeberg the "angel light" is lit and festive tower music sounds from St. Wolfgang’s Church, the Advent season begins. For four weeks, the town glows with atmospheric lighting – Schwibbögen in nearly every window and festive lights on houses and streets make Schneeberg shine like a giant Christmas mountain. The Christmas market on the marketplace, lined with specially designed booths in Baroque style, offers a magical backdrop.
The atmosphere of the Schneeberger Christmas Market is a must for Advent lovers: scents of bratwurst and mulled wine, traditional stollen, and the wide selection of Ore Mountain folk art and high-quality handicrafts invite you to browse and get into the Christmas spirit.
With its rich mining history and a modern, creative spirit, Schneeberg combines tradition and progress. Here you can discover glove makers, candle workshops, praline production, bobbin lace and woodcarving art, a watch and jewelry manufactory, and felt crafts – a variety that makes Schneeberg special and always delights visitors.
