Sleeping Beauty Children's Theater

The theater group of the Heimatverein Delligsen is busy rehearsing. Look forward to a wonderful children's theater performance in the Delligsen festival hall.

This year the children will perform "Sleeping Beauty."

A cheerful play with lots of music, dance, and singing!

The king and queen are bored in their castle. Then the queen wonders if she might want a child. However, the king is less enthusiastic. He doesn't like children.

The cooks at the court are kept busy fulfilling the queen's wishes.

When Sleeping Beauty is born, the queen invites all the fairies.

A celebration is planned. The 13 fairies appear, but the maid announces that there are only 12 plates. Quickly, the king and queen decide that only 12 fairies can come. That’s when misfortune begins:

The 13th fairy wishes death upon Sleeping Beauty. Only the 12th fairy’s wish can ease the disaster and put Sleeping Beauty into a hundred-year sleep.

A prince must find Sleeping Beauty and awaken her.
