"SOKO North Pole" - Christmas Musical for the Whole Family with the LPO

Christmas is in danger – and this time even Santa Claus urgently needs help!

Just before Christmas, there is unusual excitement in the far north: Santa Claus is unable to deliver the presents to Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Christmas is at risk of being canceled. A disaster!

Fortunately, the members of the State Police Orchestra are undercover investigators and, in fact, Santa's Christmas elves. Together with Detective Elf Mark Grabowski, the musicians, under the direction of Director Elf Cornelius During-Schwarzmaier, set out to solve the case and save Christmas. They receive support from singer Katrin Lièvre as Mrs. Claus. Together they follow the trail and embark on a turbulent journey around the North Pole.

This entertaining Christmas concert by the 30-member State Police Orchestra Mecklenburg-Vorpommern gets both young and old audiences into the festive spirit.

The program musically ranges from festive orchestral music and lively instrumental pieces to the most beautiful and well-known Christmas songs as well as special Christmas jazz and pop arrangements created just for the orchestra. Included are “Sankt Niklaus war ein Schneemann,” “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town,” and the “Snow Waltz.”
